Lindau, Germany – Three Asian youth leaders were elected to the Religions for Peace International Youth Committee (IYC) during the RfP 10th World Assembly held last 20-23 August 2019 in Lindau, Germany.
Renz Christian ARGAO, Co-Moderator of RfP Asia & the Pacific Interfaith Youth Network (RfP-APIYN) was elected to lead the IYC as its Coordinator. Argao will head the 15-member committee until the 11th World Assembly, expected to take place within the next five to seven years. Argao will also take a seat as a Member (ex officio) of the World Council, representing the youth,
Also elected as members of the IYC include Meera LWIN MAR OO of RfP Myanmar and Yusuke SAITO of WCRP Japan. Both Lwin Mar Oo and Saito are members of the APIYN Transition Committee.

The IYC is the highest governing body of the RfP Global Interfaith Youth Network, composed of 90 national chapters in 6 regional bodies.
